Learn Japanese kanji 鶴!

今日の漢字は日本に大切にしている鶴。

鶴 - つる a crane

折り鶴 - おりづる an origami crane

鶴首して待つ - かくしゅしてまつ can’t wait to do sth; to await sth with utmost impatience (lit. wait for something with the outstretched neck like a crane)

P.S. Have you ever seen the cranes dance? If not - you can check it below thanks to Ignacy from Polish YouTube channel Ignacy z Japonii.

Ignacy admits he’s a ‘hundred percent Japanese’ who fell in love with Polish language back in 2016. SInce then he’s become fluent Polish speaker and attended Polish university for a year as a free listener.

When the pandemic stranded him back at his home island of Hokkaidō, he decided to start filming vlogs about the unparalleled beauty of the northern territories of Japan - especially in winter.

The dance of the cranes begins at 3:55.

(Please don’t forget to like and/or subscribe if you liked it - it will definitely make Ignacy’s day!) 😊
