Let’s learn kanji 足!

Good morning! この漢字は足です!

足 - あし leg, foot

足跡 - あしあと footsteps

足踏み - あしぶみ to stomp up and down in one place

足元 - あしもと surface under your feet; the area you are stepping on

土足 - どそく dirty, soiled feet (remember: never enter the Japanese house with your shoes on 🙅🏻‍♀️ ❌)

不足 - ぶそく insufficient, deficiency

ex. 食糧が不足してきた。 We’re running short of provisions.

Japanese proverb 諺:

手が入れば足も入る - てがいればあしもいる Draw back while there is still time.

(lit. When the hand is put it, the foot follows.)
